Tamarind Square (タマリンド スクエア)

Tamarind Square is located in Cyberjaya, the IT City of Malaysia, on a 14.5 acre site. It consists of a centre with 72 numbers of 3-storey shop-offices that are arranged around two gardens. In addition, there are 30 numbers of semi-d shop-offices (4-5 storeys) with intimate gardens on the sides and on the roof.

The location is excellent, being on the main road of Cyberjaya and within walking distance of the Multimedia University (MMU). There is a proposed shopping mall and hotel directly across the road. But most importantly, Tamarind Square is surrounded by 15 major residential projects that are being developed by some of the most established developers in Malaysia.

The centre of Tamarind Square is designed to be an appealing gathering place for the Cyberjaya community. Trees will be planted on all the three levels of the retail centre, as well as the roof, to give the effect of a cascading ‘hanging garden’. Children can play at the ‘forest playground’ and feed animals at the pet island. Students from the several universities can hang out on the many mounds and be entertained by an outdoor concert or movie.
