2019/09/30

Nasugbu in Batangas has been positioning itself as a hot tourist destination as well as a competitive investment location as the municipality is expected to greatly benefit from the government’s “Build, Build, Build” infrastructure program.

The concreting of the General Aguinaldo–Magallanes–Nasugbu Road and the widening of the Bauan–Mabini Road are key projects that will greatly benefit Batangas.

During the Batangas Development Summit, Batangas Governer Governor Hermilando Mandanas said,  “[i]n the coming years, Batangas is seen to continue to play its significant part in the growth and development of the country. This positions the province at the threshold of being directly drawn into the circuit of various economic, social, and recreational activities.”

Nasugbu is a first-class municipality that has steadily been attracting more and more tourists to its beach resorts and is poised to become a growth center.

Leisure and residential projects by SM Prime and Roxaco Land Corp. have been developed, including developments such as Club Punta Fuego, Peninsula de Punta Fuego, Terrazas de Punta Fuego and Pico de Loro in Hamilo Coast.

With the increased urbanization of the municipality, the government has addressed the traffic problem by widening the Lemery–Taal Diversion Road. There is also the planned Cavite–Batangas expressway which connects Tagaytay to Nasugbu.

“It will be an understatement to say Nasugbu, which has already proven its mettle as a tourist destination, is on the cusp of becoming a growth center — attracting investors, creating job opportunities, and encouraging new businesses of various capacities, all against a backdrop of beautiful rolling terrains and sparkling coastlines.”
